These beautifully blooming spring trees litter the upstate of South Carolina. I anticipate the change of weather and addition of colors, except for this particular tree. This medium-sized deciduous tree produces an aroma of dead fish. The scent is so awful one can't even appreciate its gorgeous white flowers.
